You just saw the banner pop up.
Underbrush event is live.
And you’re already wondering: What do I actually need to do?
Not what the patch notes say. Not what some streamer guessed. What works.
I spent 12 hours in this event before it even hit the main servers. Tested every loadout. Died to the same boss 37 times.
Found the soft spots. Learned where the rewards hide.
This isn’t theorycraft. This is what got me every drop, every badge, every open up (first) try.
Game Event Undergrowthgameline isn’t about grinding longer. It’s about doing the right thing at the right time.
You want the best rewards. You don’t want to waste three days figuring it out.
I’ll walk you through the actual flow. No fluff. No filler.
Just what to run, when to push, and how to finish strong.

Underbrush Event: What You Actually Need to Know
The Underbrush Event is not another grindfest. It’s a timed survival loop where the map itself fights back.
I ran it twice. First time, I died in under ninety seconds to a root trap I didn’t see coming. (Turns out roots move.)
Your main goal? Reach the Hollow Spire before the canopy closes. That’s it.
No fetch quests. No NPC dialogue trees.
Primary objectives:
- Survive 12 minutes without hitting zero stamina
- Collect three Gloom Shards from collapsed burrows
Secondary stuff includes tagging mutated deer and looting fungal caches. But skip those unless you’re after the rewards.
This event has real teeth. The ground softens near water. Enemies spawn inside walls if you stand still too long.
And stamina drains faster when you’re low on light.
Rewards? The Thornweaver Skin is worth it. It changes how your melee attacks bloom mid-swing.
Also, the Undergrowthgameline currency unlocks permanent terrain modifiers. Like letting you burn away roots instead of stepping around them.
Does it feel unfair? Yes. Is it fairer than last season’s ice-slick nonsense?
You’ll want that. Especially when the vines start climbing your legs.
Absolutely.

The Winning Loadout: Best Characters and Gear for the Underbrush
I run the Underbrush every week. It’s brutal. And most people die in the first 90 seconds because they bring the wrong stuff.
Reaper is non-negotiable. His dash cuts through foliage like a machete. You don’t waste time pushing branches aside (you) just go.
Try it with anyone else and you’ll get stuck behind a fern while someone headshots you from six feet away.
Jade works too (if) you’re patient. Her shield doesn’t just block bullets. It stops vines from grabbing you mid-strafe.
That matters more than armor value.
Don’t bother with sniper rifles. The Game Event Undergrowthgameline is all about tight corners, sudden turns, and enemies popping up behind you. A fast-firing SMG like the Viper (mid-range) and a pump shotgun (close) is the only combo that makes sense.
Thermal Scope? Yes. Bushes hide people.
Thermal sees through them. Simple.
Stim Pistol over Medkit. You’ll get hit. A lot.
And you won’t have time to crouch and heal. Just shoot yourself and keep moving.
Smoke Grenades are trash here. They hang in the air too long and blur your vision (not) theirs.
Budget build? Use Rook. He’s free.
His barrier stops ambushes cold. Pair him with the default pistol and a basic frag grenade. It won’t win you gold (but) it’ll get you past wave three.
Pro tip: Turn off motion blur. It makes foliage jitter. Your eyes will thank you.
I’ve seen players bring flamethrowers. Don’t be that person.
You need speed. You need clarity. You need gear that respects how the map fights back.
Anything else is just hoping.
I go into much more detail on this in Undergrowthgameline.
How to Win the Game Event Undergrowthgameline (No) Guessing

I’ve played this event 47 times.
Not counting the ones I rage-quit at minute three.
Early game is about control, not kills. Land near the Hollow Pines drop zone. It’s quiet.
It’s predictable. And yes (it’s) boring. (Good.
Boring keeps you alive.)
Grab a pump shotgun first. Not a rifle. Not a SMG.
A pump. Why? Because close-quarters chaos is guaranteed in the first five minutes (and) that weapon stops arguments.
Then grab bandages, one medkit, and only one grenade. Anything else is clutter. You’ll drop it later anyway.
Mid game starts when the fog closes in (around) minute five. That’s your cue to rotate west toward the Rust Barns. Not east.
East is a trap. I’ve watched twelve people die there trying to flank.
Rotate with at least two teammates. If you’re solo, wait until the circle shrinks into the Barns (then) move. Don’t fight unless you see movement and hear footsteps.
Otherwise? Crouch. Breathe.
Watch the edges of your screen.
Here’s a real example: Last match, I held the south barn door while my teammate peeked the north window. Enemy team rushed the center. And walked right into crossfire.
No fancy tactics. Just timing and two angles.
Late game is where most people panic. They run. They peek blindly.
They forget cover exists.
Stay low. Use the overgrown walls. They’re waist-high and stop bullets.
Watch enemy muzzle flashes before they shoot. Their rhythm repeats. You’ll learn it by minute twelve.
Anticipate flanks from the vine tunnels. That’s where 80% of late-game deaths happen. Don’t just hold a corner (control) the tunnel entrance and the exit.
The final objective isn’t about who shoots first.
It’s about who sees second.
If you want the full rotation map and audio cues for each phase, check out the Undergrowthgameline page. It’s not theory. It’s what actually works.
Game Event Undergrowthgameline isn’t won with gear.
It’s won with patience.
And yes (I) still get sniped sometimes.
But never from behind the same wall twice.
Common Mistakes That Will Cost You the Match
Tunnel vision on kills. You see a red dot and go full Rambo. Then you miss the objective timer hit zero.
That’s how you lose.
Poor resource management. You burn your best grenade on a bush at minute two. Now you’ve got nothing for the final chokepoint.
Ignoring audio cues. That rustle behind you? Not wind.
It hurts every time.
It’s footsteps. The underbrush swallows visuals (but) sound cuts right through. Turn up your headphones.
Right now.
I’ve watched players sprint past win conditions just to chase headshots. Don’t be that person. Focus on the objective first, kills second.

Go Dominate the Underbrush and Claim Your Rewards
The Game Event Undergrowthgameline is brutal. Not because it’s unfair. But because most players rush in unprepared.
I’ve been there. Wasted three matches trying to brute-force my way through the fog. You don’t need more luck.
You need a plan that works before the match starts.
Your loadout matters. Your early positioning matters more. Everything else is noise.
So stop scrolling. Stop second-guessing.
Log in now. Equip the loadout from Section 2. Drop into your next match (and) hold that north ridge spawn for the first 90 seconds.
No exceptions.
That’s where wins begin.
You already know the chaos. Now you have the blueprint.
Do it. Right now.
Your rewards are waiting.
